What a Wi-Fi or NBN setup costs
The initial consultation is $89, including travel within the service area, diagnosis and the first 30 minutes of work. Additional time is $25 per 15-minute block. Your local technician explains and agrees the expected cost with you before continuing. Parts and specialist lab services are quoted separately and require your approval. The $89 initial consultation fee applies even if a repair or recovery is not possible. There is no separate callout fee.

Why is Wi-Fi slow in some rooms but not others?
Weak Wi-Fi can have several causes, including router placement, building materials, interference, device faults or the internet connection itself. We compare the connection near the router with the rooms where you have trouble before recommending changes. A faster plan or new hardware is not automatically the right fix; the assessment determines what is worth trying.
Will upgrading your internet plan fix the dropouts?
Not necessarily. We first compare the connection at the modem with the rooms and devices where you notice problems. If the incoming service is performing as expected but the signal is weak elsewhere, changing the plan may not solve it. If the incoming connection is the issue, we explain what to check with your provider.
Is a mesh system needed, or will an extender do?
It depends on the house, so your local technician measures the connection before recommending equipment. Extenders are cheap but can reduce bandwidth and create a second network your phone clings to in the wrong room. Mesh systems handle that better but cost more and still need the nodes positioned correctly. For some homes, a cable run to a well-placed access point is the better option. You'll get advice based on what your house needs.
Can you install Starlink?
Tell us whether you need help activating Starlink, placing an accessible dish, connecting devices or improving Wi-Fi behind it. We confirm the work we can undertake before booking. Roof mounting, work at height, penetrations and specialist cabling are not assumed to be included in a home network visit; any additional work or required specialist is discussed and quoted separately. Clear-sky access and property layout affect the result.
Is Starlink better than NBN out here?
The useful comparison is what your exact address can receive and what your household needs. Available NBN technology, provider plans, equipment, installation requirements and clear-sky access for Starlink all matter. We discuss those constraints before recommending network hardware. Any coverage improvement depends on the property and is tested after the agreed work.
Wi-Fi not reaching where you need it?
Describe which rooms drop out and your local technician will come and measure it properly. Most houses are fixed in one visit, often without buying any new hardware.
