Your technician comes to you

Your local technician arrives at your home within the service area and diagnoses the fault in front of you.

03

Agree any further work

After the $89 initial consultation, your local technician explains the expected cost of any further work. You decide whether to proceed; the consultation fee still applies.

04

Pay after the visit

Payment is due after the visit. The $89 initial consultation fee applies even if a repair isn't possible. Any additional work or parts are agreed with you first.

How we can help

Laptop, screen and PC repair options

Laptop screen repairs

Cracked, blank or flickering screen? Tell us your laptop’s exact make and model. We assess the fault and quote the panel and fitting before ordering. Costs depend on the display and any other damage.

Battery & charging faults

A laptop that will not charge does not automatically need a battery. We check the symptoms, charger and compatible parts first. Keep your usual charger available. Batteries, sockets and other hardware are quoted separately.

Computers that won’t start

Tell us about startup errors, crashes and recent changes. We assess the symptoms and explain the next steps before you approve further work. The initial consultation is not an all-inclusive hardware repair price.

Slow PCs & laptop upgrades

For a computer that still starts but runs slowly, explore our tune-ups and SSD upgrades. We assess the cause before recommending software changes or compatible hardware.

Overheating & unexpected crashes

Describe when the computer gets hot, shuts down or crashes, and which programs are running. We assess the fault before recommending work or parts. A separate monitor fault may need a different repair or replacement approach.

Important files & failing drives

Missing files or a drive that may be failing? Discuss data recovery and backup options before a reset or reinstall. Recovery depends on the device and fault and cannot be guaranteed.

Computer & laptop repair FAQs

How much does it cost to repair a laptop screen?

A laptop screen replacement is the cost of the screen itself plus the labour to fit it, and your local technician will quote you both before ordering anything. Screens vary a lot by model — a common 15-inch panel is far cheaper than a high-resolution or touchscreen display — so your local technician checks your exact model first rather than giving you a number that changes later. If the screen costs more than the laptop is worth, your local technician will tell you that instead of selling you the repair.

How long does a computer repair take?

The time needed depends on the fault and what the diagnosis finds. Some software and startup problems can be resolved during a visit; hardware repairs may require separately quoted parts and a return appointment. Ask about appointment availability when booking. We explain the expected work, cost and timeframe before you approve anything beyond the $89 initial consultation.

Does the repair require a password or access to personal files?

Your local technician only asks for your password when the repair genuinely needs it, such as installing Windows updates or drivers. You're welcome to type it in yourself and change it after the visit. Personal files, photos and email are not browsed. The work happens in front of you on your own table, so you can see what is being done.

Does your local technician come to your home?

Your local technician comes to you within the service area shown above. You don't need to unplug a desktop, lift it into the car, or leave it with a shop for a week. If a repair can't be done in your home, the reason is explained before anything leaves the house.

What if the computer can't be fixed?

The $89 initial consultation fee applies even if a repair isn't possible or isn't worth doing. Your local technician will explain what's failed and discuss your options before you approve any additional work. File transfers or setup of a replacement machine are charged at the published rate and agreed with you first.
